We would like to share with you the latest news on Cannes The French Riviera over the past 14 months. Though the town has been on a full lockdown though COVID19 there has been lots happening behind closed doors.
The latest news on the reopening and restrictions lifting in France
19th May
The reopening of terraces of cafes bars and restaurants with a maximum of 6 per table.
Curfew will be at 9pm (current 7pm)
9th June
The reopening entirely of all restaurants bars cafes inside (50% capacity) and outside with a maximum of 6 per table.
With hotels reopening from mid June for residential stays
International visitors will be allowed back into France
Curfew will be at 11pm
30th June
Capacity limits lifted in restaurants and end of 11pm curfew
Standing concerts and festivals will be able to resume, with a limit set by the region, A health pass will be required for any concert bringing together more than 1,000 spectators.
This is all positive news! The vaccination roll out is (finally) going well in France and our Covid cases are decreasing!
Update for travel from UK to France
According to the British government, France is classified in Amber.
Which means you will need a pre departure test as well as 10 days quarantine when you will return to UK
So even if it is not illegal to travel to France, we are very much looking forward to the next colour change on June 7 before knowing if you will have the “Green light”!
